The Halo headset is designed to accommodate a variety of head shapes and sizes and features an adjustable metal arch to ensure the headset stays secure when stimulating. Before stimulating, the app will walk you through the headset positioning process.
As a general guideline, we recommend placing the headset as high on your forehead as possible where it sits comfortably. A small overlap with the hairline is not a problem. This is so the headset can target the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, which is a region important for regulating mood, sleep, and focus. Additionally, we recommend using a hair tie to keep as much hair as possible from the forehead to prevent interference with the session. The following picture demonstrates proper placement with some acceptable overlap of the hairline.
You’re welcome to email a photo of yourself wearing the headset to support@haloneuroscience.com. Our team will review it and provide guidance to ensure it’s positioned correctly.
