What is the Halo treatment schedule?

Modified on Thu, 25 Sep at 10:53 AM

Halo utilises a clinically-validated treatment schedule that is safe and effective. The protocol is split into two phases: the Activation Phase and the Optimization Phase. Each stimulation session is 30 minutes long.

The Activation Phase

  • Treatment schedule: 5x sessions a week for 3 weeks. Any missed sessions in the Activation Phase will rollover to following weeks, giving you a chance to make up the missed sessions.
  • Purpose: Activate neural networks in the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex
  • Response: Activating this area of the brain helps a person to better regulate mood, sleep, and focus.

The Optimization Phase

  • Treatment schedule: 2x sessions a week, ongoing. Any missed sessions in the Strengthening Phase cannot be taken in following weeks.
  • Purpose: Preserve and strengthen progress achieved in the Activation phase
  • Response: The continued stimulation helps ensure the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex remains active.
